$2M liability insured

Certificate available for your property manager or building on request. Our crews are trained to WorkSafeBC’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.

Month‑to‑month terms

No lock‑in contract. Cancel with 30 days’ written notice.

After‑hours scheduling

Cleaning finished before your team arrives, or during the day if you prefer.

Written scope & checklist

Every task listed and agreed before the first clean. Nothing assumed.
WHAT GETS CLEANED

Four areas, and they fail differently.

A training floor, a wet change room and a studio do not respond to the same products or the same frequency. Scoping them as one room is how gyms end up with a clean lobby and a change room members complain about.

WHERE MEMBERS ACTUALLY NOTICE

Two complaints cancel memberships. Both are solvable.

Ask any gym operator what members write in reviews and it is the change room and the smell. Neither is really about how often the floor gets mopped.

Odour comes from drains and grout, not air

Air freshener in a change room covers a smell for an hour. We scope the floor drains, the grout lines and the locker bases, because that is almost always where it is actually coming from. If it turns out to be ventilation or a plumbing trap, we will tell you so you can get the right trade in.

Rubber floors need the right product

Solvent degreasers strip and eventually crack rubber flooring, which is an expensive thing to replace. We use pH‑neutral products on those areas and the product choice is written into the scope so it does not change when a different crew covers a shift.

Surfaces are ours, servicing is not

We clean machine frames, grips, handles and upholstery on the schedule you set. Member wipe‑downs between sets stay a member habit, and anything mechanical — cables, bearings, belts — is your equipment technician, not us.
WHERE THE SCOPE STOPS

What a cleaning contract does not cover.

Fitness facilities attract a lot of overlapping trades. Setting the edges now means nobody assumes a job was covered when it was never priced.

Interior glass yes, exterior glass no

Mirrors, wall glass, entry glass and studio partitions are part of a normal clean. Anything requiring ladders beyond step height, or any exterior face above ground level, is a window cleaning contractor with their own fall‑protection setup. We will flag what needs doing; we will not improvise it.
GETTING STARTED

From walkthrough to first clean, usually inside a week.

The walkthrough matters more here than in an office, because your opening hours decide everything about the schedule.
01

Walk the floor

We come at a busy time on purpose, so we see the change rooms and the training floor under real load rather than at 6am when everything looks fine.
02

Scope, schedule and price

Every area, every task, every frequency, with the cleaning window written in. You approve it before anything starts.
03

First clean on the checklist

The crew works the scope line by line and the completed checklist comes back to you dated and signed.
04

Adjust after a fortnight

Fitness traffic is seasonal and January is not October. We review the frequency early and again when your numbers shift. Month to month throughout, 30 days notice.
OPERATOR QUESTIONS

What gym and studio owners ask us.

The practical ones, answered before you spend time on a call.

We scope a low‑traffic window rather than a closed one — usually somewhere between 1am and 5am, or mid‑morning for studios. Crews work section by section so the floor stays usable throughout.

pH‑neutral products. We avoid solvent degreasers, which strip rubber over time and eventually crack it. The products for each surface are named in the scope so it does not change when a different crew covers a shift.

Frames, grips, handles and upholstery surfaces, at the frequency you set. Member wipe‑downs between sets stay a member habit. We do not service, adjust or repair equipment.

Usually, yes, because it is normally floor drains, grout and locker bases rather than the air. We scope those specifically. If it turns out to be ventilation or a dry plumbing trap, we will say so rather than keep selling you more cleaning.

Shower stalls, benches, glass and drains, yes. The mechanical side of a sauna or steam unit is a trade, not a cleaning job, and we do not take it on.

Yes. Each site gets its own scope and its own checklist, because a spin studio and a full gym do not need the same thing, even under one brand.

Yes. We carry $2 million in liability coverage and can have the certificate issued to your business or your landlord on request.

Only if it is written into the scope and priced. Plenty of operators keep laundry in‑house or with a linen service, so we do not assume either way.

We clean gyms and studios across the region. Closer to home, start with Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey, Delta, Coquitlam or Port Moody. Local Cleaners is based in Vancouver and covers every commercial cleaning service across our service areas. A studio inside a strata building may also need common area cleaning.
