Why a physio clinic needs its own checklist
A physiotherapy clinic is half treatment space, half gym. Plinths and treatment rooms look like any medical office, but the rehab floor carries mats, benches, weights, bands and machines that every patient touches, and the change rooms behave more like a fitness centre than a clinic washroom.
Generic office or medical checklists tend to miss the gym side, or leave it to whoever has time at the end of the day. This list covers both, and it separates clinical tasks your team owns from cleaning tasks a cleaner should own.
How to use it
Start with the between-patient list, which belongs to your clinical staff during the day. Then use the after-hours, weekly and periodic lists to build or check the written scope with your cleaner. Where your college, health authority or clinic policy names a specific product or method for treatment surfaces, that instruction overrides anything here and should be written into the cleaner’s scope.
